Mahe de la Bourdonnais Bicentenary essays, 18c. composite stamp-size essay with photographic head in black and frame printed frame in brown in a design similar to that issued but with value also in the upper corners, affixed to card (90x115mm) lettered “B” and dated “March 28th 99”; the card with some slight soiling from the essay being pasted to the card, superb; ex De La Rue archives, Robert Marion and “Port Louis”.Catalogue ref: S.G. 136 var
