1855 (Oct 21) Unstamped letter dated from St. Andrews to London and redirected to a British Army soldier in Crimea, pre-paid in cash with “6D / PAID” hs, with “BRITISH / 5d / CLAIM” along with Charing Cross and London tombstone arrival, reverse with despatch and St. John’s transit along with London despatch, minor cover imperfections, probably the only correspondence from New Brunswick to Crimea during the war; ex Allan L. Steinhart.
