1909 1 1/2d. partially finished stamp size die proof from the De La Rue Archives in black with un-cleared surround on glazed card affixed to striking book piece, endorsed “This die partly finished, chgd. 25 Aug 10” in red manuscript; very rare. Cat £12,500. Ex “Aurelius” (Grosvenor 2009).
