1901 (April/May) coloured 1d. paste up essay with sketch head mounted on thick card (90 x 97) and inscribed “Printed in doubly fugitive purple ink on pink paper.” below and doubly fugitive purple at top left; most attractive and very rare,

The colour and comment relate to the continuing arguments between the authorities and politicians concerning the risk of Cancellation removal by cleaning; and the UPU colour requirements for the overseas postal rate.
