Description
1901 (July August) halfpenny progressive proof of the value tablet and left half of the frame, with uncleared surround, taken from an unfinished or defective die in green on white glazed card (37 x 39mm), very fine. A spectacular and probably unique proof. Ex J.T. Clarke and “Aurelius” (Grosvenor 2009).
