Lot 51330 – 1972 Sapporo group of three participant’s badges: “J.O.C.”, “S.O.O.C.”, and “GUEST”

1972 Sapporo group of three participant’s badges in their original boxes:

– “J.O.C.” International Olympic Committee member badge, with blue enamel bar and legend above white ribbon with yellow stripe, very fine and extremely rare;

-“S.O.O.C” Organising Committee badge with Olympic coloured enamel bar at top and blue enamel bar with legend below above white ribbon with two yellow stripes, very fine and extremely rare;

– “GUEST” badge with purple-brown enamel bar with legend above white ribbon with yellow line, very fine and rare.

Thought to be the first time that the “J.O.C.” badge has been offered in an auction, certainly the first time we have offered these badges before. A superb and extremely rare group for the connoisseur.
