During the Games: 1924 (Jun 27) Commercial cover from a book publisher sent with the very rare “P.P. / PARIS XIV” “JEUX OLYMPIQUES / PARIS / MAI-JUIN-JUILLET / 1924” roller frank cancel (P.P. for postage paid), arrival backstamp, the rarest postmark of 1924 Paris with only five examples recorded, this being the finest (see Journal of Sports Philately, Spring 2021, p.22-23, by Lorentz Jonker) and one of three sent on this date during the Games (fencing and shooting); ex “Zappeion”.
