1580 (11 Nov) Entire sent from Malta to Morello (Italy) with a manuscript horse stirrup with manuscript inscription inside “Da Paga” to indicate express courier post, a ’34s’ postage due label applied and attached by seal which could be one of the earliest attempts to use a stamp/label for postal book keeping. Very early date (currently 4th earliest) and with respect to the label and notations one of the most important pre-stamp covers of Malta. A new find.
