1912 500r Essay for frame only on white glazed card affixed to thick card, dated “24 MAY 1912” and in manuscript “B.” at top left, “100 Rps also to follow this design” at right and “Approved “29 1912” below, an important and unique item, ex De La Rue archives.
Note: Two designs were submitted by De La Rue (A & B) and this one was chosen.
