1888 (Feb 4) envelope sent to England with 1887 1/2d vermilion strip of four tied by “C” barred ovals, underpaying the 2 1/2d rate with “T” hs and “1D / F.B.” hs for double the deficiency on arrival in England, reverse with despatch and Wimbledon arrival, faint soiling, an uncommon usage of unoverprinted stamps to pay the letter rate.
