1844 1d Black Mulready envelope (A161) cancelled by the distinctive London Number 5 Maltese Cross in black, sent to Essex, soiled and wrinkled, diagonal crease and small tear lower part, damage to lower part and some soiling, a fine example of this scarce Maltese Cross on a caricature. (S.G. £2’250).
