1898-1916, group of three covers incl. 1898 envelope from a military officer written at Udjioji before the post office opened on 8 April 1898, carried by runner across the width of the country, entering the postal service at Dar es Salaam with 10pa on 20pf franking; 1912 real photograph picture postcard franked with 4h green tied by rare “KISSENJI” cds; and 1916 (Mar 31) “Morogoro” pre-franked envelope, postmarked with the Mittellandbahn T.P.O. ds.
