British Army Post Offices in Egypt: 1882 (SP 28) cover front to Glasgow bearing 1d lilac tied British Army Post Office Egypt cds (without code), a stampless cover front endorsed “on active service no stamps procurable” tied similar cds, 1882 (July) mourning cover to England at 2 1/2d rate tied ’28’ numerals cancelled in London having been sent in the naval bag (Ex Firebrace), 1884 and 1885 cancelled stamps from Sudanese campaign, 1885 cover written to Mrs Earle, the widow of Major-General William Earle. An interesting lot with some interesting ephemera.
