Guadeloupe: 1868 (Mar 12) outer letter sheet to New York franked French general colony Eagles 20c and 40c with variable margins tied by large blue dotted lozenge, below a fine strike of “Paid At Guadeloupe” crown circle handstamp in blue, N.Y. Steamship 10 date stamp top right, reverse with blue double-arc date stamp with St Thomas transit alongside. A great rarity amongst Crown Circles, only two recorded; ex Grabowski.
