1840 (May 6) 1d Mulready lettersheet to Bognor cancelled by red Maltese Cross at top, framed T.P./ Newport St adjacent, reverse with small circular evening code C cds of MY 6; some slight wear and ageing of little significance, a rare example of a first day usage, as illustrated in Collect First Day Covers 1991 (page 17).
