Description
1855 (21 Avril) small envelope with content letter to Paris bearing a very fine strike of the straight-line bluish ‘Jerusalem.21.Avril.1855’ handstamp as well as a very bold impression of rare JAFFA SYRIE date stamp of the following day, reverse with Beyrout Syrie transit of 23 Avril and arrival of 17 Mai, wax seal excised and slight ageing and bumps to the edges but the cancels are both superb strikes as both cancels only introduced in February of that year.
