1870 50 bani blue/red and 25 bani orange/blue, the bicoloured high values of the Prince Carol 1869 “International Issue”, two fresh four-margined examples on cover sent on 21/3 (1870) from Oltenita to Cette, France, arriving 1/4 via Bucharest, Strasbourg and Paris (31/3). The stamps are cancelled by a very clear strike of OLTENITA * DIST. ILFOVU 21/3 in blue, and the cover bears at right the elusive departure OLTENITZA linear telegraph-postal marking in blue. A very esthetically pleasing item with a rare telegraphic departure handstamp; signed Jamet.
