1856-67 postmarks, a colourful group of SPERATI fogery cancellations incl. 2 proofs on film paper with abundant production notes and dating, including Waren in black and a radiant Prussian blue, one with reversed image, dated “5/51”. Also a composite proof of circular cancellation Rostock and line cancel Marlow, dated “7/43”; includes Sperati’s characteristic fingerprint colour trials. A unique and fascinating experimental assembly.
