6d slate-violet on laid paper, with good to large even margins, tied by concentric circles on wrapper from Montreal, 2 July 1851, to Toronto, with arrival backstamp.
Pays the double internal letter rate, an early and attractive usage of the 6d value shortly after the introduction of the Pence issue.
