1851 Stampless Entire with Red Toronto Paid Marking
Stampless entire bearing red TORONTO, CANADA PAID, AP 23 1851 circular datestamp, marked “Paid”, addressed to Hamilton.
The date 23 April 1851 coincides with the official issue date of the 3d Beaver, although the earliest recorded Beaver usage is 1 May 1851, making this an important pre-stamp or transitional cover.
