1852–57 ½d Deep Rose on Newspaper Wrapper
½d deep rose on medium wove paper, top right corner sheet-marginal example, pen-cancelled on The Oshawa Vindicator newspaper, dated 27 April 1859, addressed to Reach. Represents the ½d newspaper rate for items mailed by individuals not exceeding 3 oz, effective 1 August 1857.
A desirable usage, showing both a marginal sheet position and a clear newspaper mailing.
