Description

1930-44 3d. blue block of six (3×2) from the left of the sheet, the lower pair showing variety centre omitted the lower and upper pairs mounted leaving the central pair unmounted mint, a superb example of this unique variety being the only pair from the recorded blocks with a complete omission. A magnificent exhibition show piece. Cert .B.P.A. (1997). (S.G. £32’000).

Note: Offered together with 3d. black and red illustrating that the lower skyline (red) was printed in the same process as the frame, therefore explaining the remnants of the skyline in the centre omitted pair.
