Abutshi Customs Office: 1899 (Dec 29) envelope from Abutshi to England with GB 1881 1d lilac die II tied by a very fine strike of the “THE ROYAL NIGER Co. C. & L. / CUSTOMS / OFFICE / ABUTSHI” violet oval datestamp, with Forcados River transit on reverse along with Birmingham arrival, minor envelope imperfections at top, a very rare cancellation and an especially good strike.
