Lot 60177 – 1854 4a Deep Blue and Red Fifth printing Head Die III

1854 4a Deep Blue and Red Fifth printing Head Die III and Frame Die II single with wide margins. The frame shows strong wear and appears to be of the very printing when the die was wearing off. Nose and eyes shows strong retouches confirming that the stamp is of later printing when the die was getting worn and retouches were done to keep the printing ongoing, very fine; signed Heddergott (SG £1’500).
