1855 (Nov 10) cover with 1/2a Blue (SG8a) 1854 lithograph sent from Secunderabad to notify a soldier in the 87th Regiment in Rawil Pindee of the passing of his uncle from a “remittent fever attended by an affection of the head”. Scarce surviving entire letter, fine with some scuffs (SG £700). Catalogue ref: S.G. 8a
