Africa: Money letter with five wax seals from Mecca (6.2.34) with 1929 20 G., backstamped Djeddah (8.2), Port Taufiq (11.2), Alexandria (12.2), then returned from Alexandria (13.2) via Port Taufiq (14.2, in red, for returned mail) with note on front “Retour a Mecque via P. Taufik/Lieu de destination n’est pas admis” (=Destination not allowed), the reason for the return is not known as Saudi Arabia joined the UPU on 1.1.1927, unusual
