1948 (Apr 7)-65 Airmail issue collection in 2 albums, starting with a page of 1923 “Mercury” airmail perforated essays stamps, letter from the Dept of Posts and Telegraphs confirming the delay of the issue date, a letter confirming the date of issue and a letter that enclosed a FDC, set of 7 in mint nh blocks of four (5 sets), set in blocks of four with first day cancels, complete sheets of 60 of the 6d, 1d, 8d, 1s3d and 1s5d (2), arranged chronologically, with varieties and major re-entries noted on mint singles, blocks and on cover throughout, incl. 3d major re-entry (SG 141a) on two FDCs, two used singles and a used block of four, presentation card from the Minister of Posts & Telegraphs with the 3d & 6d attached plus a pair of FDCs signed by him, many FDCs and flight covers, a lovely collection of this issue
