80 Parale brick-red, on bluish paper, unused with full original gum, huge margins all round, a superb example of the potentially very rare paper shade, careful examination shows the paper is most definitively bluish, exhibition showpiece

Heimbuchler (January 3, 2003): “.. on yellowish-gray paper… This unusual shade of paper is not catalogued, but it does not belong to the very rare late printing of the lilac-blue Scott 7”

Note: “One of the Rarest Classical Stamps of Europe” on page 113 of David Feldman’s “Rarities of the World” sale of December 7, 2017, where another 80 Parale (lot # 70097) previously described as on bluish paper, is similarly found by Heimbuchler to actually be on an unusual, not catalogued shade (greenish blue) of paper, but NOT the lilac-blue. (same item was offred by David Feldman as lot # 40804 of its sale of May 28-30, 2014 and lot # 70807 of its sale of September 27-28, 2013).
