Description

CALARASI: 1831 (20.8) Disinfected document concerning the successful fumigation and 4 days quarantine of 320 pairs of footware belonging to Ivancea Ruse, a Serb man from Silistra going to Calarasi, bearing a very clear, 1830 type negative seal of the “CALARASI” quarantine station (Dragomir type K30 – 8R; see # 2 page 55), extremely rare

Translation: Ivancea Ruse Serbian from Silistra is going to Calarasi with 160 pairs of red and black iminei (?)) and 160 pairs of boots and is coming back without (them). Then he goes to Principality (of Wallachia) in whose quarantine (he)entered beginning with August 16 and completing the 4 days term and through smoking of all things (pairs), they were released.
