1862-67 Sitting Helvetia 60c bronze bisect together with 30c ultramarin tied by neat GENEVE 1 FEV 68 on commercial double-weight cover to Turin/Italy, commercial COMPTOIR D’ESCOMPTE / DE GENÈVE cachet alongside, address has been crossed out plus a white label has been applied, very fine and unique.
This cover is mentioned in the 1924 Zumstein specialised Switzerland catalogue on page 98 but has only been illustrated in 2019. The whereabouts of this cover had been lost for over 80 years and was rediscovered in an old-time family collection only recently.
