ENGLAND: 1863-1974, Collection of English Football, starting with a envelope sent from London on the day that the FA was founded on Oct 26th 1863, followed by a history of the FA Cup and Wembley, 1923 Wembley stadium postcard sent by a spectator at the FA Cup final with text about the match & stadium, incl. postcard from the 1924 British Empire Exhibition with drop-down illustrations, “Torchlight Tattoo / Stadium Wembley” machine cancel on postcard, 1930 FA Cup winning Arsenal team signed card, 1934 Wembley ppc signed by Czech Oldrich Nehedly, 1946 Burnden Park Disaster ppc, 1947 GB vs Europe programme and souvenir ppc, 1951 England vs Argentina programme, piece signed by Frank Swift (who died in the Munich Air Disaster), 1953 England vs Brazil programme, 1963 England vs ROW programme, ticket and invitation card, self-made 1965 Stanley Matthews testimonial cover sent on the day of the match signed by Matthews and many of the players incl. Puskas & Eusebio, 1966 England vs Czech programme, many signed covers from the 1970s especially of Leeds incl. Jack Charlton, Billy Bremner, Trevor Francis and Joe Jordan, often using reproduction/modern pictures and postcards to tell the story, many self-made commemorative covers throughout
