ANTARCTIC: 1903-1905 The “LE FRANCAIS” expedition: Outstanding exhibition collection neatly mounted and knowledgeable written up in French on forty-seven album pages, showing an extensive array of postcards depicting the journey from the construction of the ship and the preparation of the expedition, on to the journey to the antarctic and finally the time in the antarctic, showing a wealth of image and signatures of Charcot etc., with cards franked with Argentinian stamps, a truly wonderful assembly
