1915-18 WWI Austrian Navy ship mail collection beautifully presented in 2 albums, with 143 cards/covers, ordered by vessel type and name, with straight line hs and fancy cachets of the various ships and regiments, starting with mail from the land based units (mostly posted at Pola, the battle fleet’s main base) but also from other bases along the Adriatic coast line, then Pre-Dreadnought ships, Coastal Defence ships, semi-Dreadnoughts, Dreadnoughts, Armoured Cruisers, Light/Scout Cruisers, Destroyers and Torpedo boats, accommodation vessels, hospital ships, submarines and naval air arm, plus 47 picture postcards of the bases/ships/submarines themselves, a lovely collection that has had a lot of time spent on it
