Special features: king with curving layers of curls wearing long-tailed tunic over loin cloth, standing to left beside a delicate banner with fine-detailed Garuda, name under king’s arms skanda. Brahmi legend on reverse sriskandaguptah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, class I, variety A. Raven, SkG/group 1. A scarce coin struck to the old gold dinar weight standard, and not the later higher standard.
VF, well-defined details, some lustre shows through, die crack at the bottom.
