Gupta Empire, Chandragupta III, c. 450-455, AV dinar, 8.34 g. (20 mm). Obverse: ‘archer’ type; elegant king with halo and wearing tailed tunic over loin cloth, head turned left, next to Garuda standard with a crescent between king and standard. Reverse: goddess seated on lotus with a diamond tamgha next to her, legend srivikkramah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class III, variety T1 (ascribed to Chandragupta II). Raven, CG3/group 1.
The type and weight suggest attribution to Chandragupta III, but Kumar ascribes it to Chandragupta II.
