Gupta Empire, Kumaragupta I, c. 415-455, AV dinar, 8.00 g. (19 mm). Obverse: ‘lion slayer’ type, tall king with layers of curls standing right, shooting arrow at lion right, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi sitting in Lalitasana pose facing on reclining lion facing right, holding lotus in left hand and scattering coins (off flan), tamgha in left field, Brahmi legend at right, sinhamahendra. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class II, variety C. Raven, KG1/group 6.
