Gupta Empire, Kumaragupta I, c. 415-455, AV dinar, 7.34 g. (17 mm). Obverse: ‘archer’ type, king with halo and large head standing with head turned to left, holding a longbow by the middle with string outward, Garuda standard at left, Brahmi legend in right field, kumara. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo sitting on seven-petaled lotus with both hands raised, holding diadem and lotus flower, Brahmi legend right, srimahendrah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class I. Raven, KG1/group 2.
VF, struck with attractive high relief, despite moderate wear to high points.
