Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 7.77 g. (20 mm). Obverse: ‘chhatra’ type; king depicted with big head and big curls, wearing loin cloth, standing left holding a sword, sacrificing on a fire, attendant stepping to right holding parasol (chhatra) over the king with left leg bent up, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi, standing left, holding long-stemmed lotus flower in her left hand, and diadem in right, with tamgha to left and Brahmi legend to right, vikkramadityah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class I, variety C2. Raven, CG2/group 7.
