Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 7.60 g. (20 mm). Obverse: ‘chhatra’ type; king wearing cap with beaded string and a tailed tunic with belt over loin cloth, standing left, sacrificing on a fire, attendant at right stepping to left and holding parasol (chhatra) over the king with right leg raised up, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi, standing facing on lotus flower, holding long-stemmed lotus flower in her left hand, and diadem in right, with tamgha to left and Brahmi legend to right with a long bar, vikramadityah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class I, variety A1.1. Raven, CG2/group 3.
