Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 7.89 g. (19 mm). Obverse: ‘horseman’ type; king riding horse left, king with large head and large curls, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo and hair tied into a bun, in a stooped sitting posture on a tiny wicker stool, tamgha in upper left, reverse legend ajitavikkramah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class I, variety A2. Raven, CG2/group 7.
VF, well defined king and horse, good details on the reverse in attractive high relief.
