Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 7.77 g. (19 mm). Obverse: ‘horseman’ type: king wearing cap and tunic over loin cloth and sash, riding horse right, without halo and carrying no bow, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo, seated left on finely-detailed stool, holding diadem and prominent, long-stemmed lotus, with a crescent before her and without tamgha, legend at right, ajitavikrama, tamgha left, dotted border around.
