Gupta Empire, Chandragupta I, c. 319-335, AV dinar, 7.75 g. (23 mm).
Special features: king, wearing a cap and tunic over trousers, holds a crescent-topped staff in left hand, name of queen on left is legible as srikumaradevi and the king’s legend is fuly legible as chandragupta. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class I, variety A. Raven, SG/group 1.
AU, very attractive appearance, struck on a large flan and lustrous. Fully struck with sharp features all round. Some porosity on obverse surface from the strike.
