Kushanas, Huvishka, c. 151-192, AV dinar, 7.61 g. (20 mm). Obverse: Crowned half-length bust, halo around head, flames at shoulders, holding scepter, with Bactrian legend around ÞAONANOÞAO OOηÞKI KOÞANO, king of kings, Huvishka Kushan. Reverse: Shaoreoro (Ares/Mars) standing facing right, holding spear in left hand and resting shield on ground. Bactrian legend to left PAOPHO(PO) (Shaoreoro), tamgha to left, dotted border around.
An interesting and rare type that shows an incomplete Bactrian legend on the reverse for the God Shaoreoro. No similar type is found on Coinarchives.
