Description
Gupta Empire, Budhagupta (or Vikramadityah), c. 476-495, AV dinar, 9.32 g. (23 mm). Obverse: ‘archer’ type, king standing left, holding longbow in left hand, arrow in right, Garuda standard at left, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi seated facing on lotus, holding diadem and long-stemmed lotus left, tamgha to left, Brahmi legend to right, dotted border around.
EF+, impressive and strong details on a large flan, lustre shows through.
