Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 8.30 g. (20 mm). Obverse: ‘archer and Garuda’ type, king standing, nimbate, facing left, holding longbow in left hand and an arrow in right, Garuda standard with ribbons in left field, crescent between king and Garuda, Brahmi legend Chandra below king’s left arm. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo and crescent above head sitting on seven-petaled lotus, holding diadem and lotus flower, tamgha to left, Brahmi legend right. Kumar TOTGE 2024, Class III, variety T2.
