Gupta Empire, Chandragupta I, c. 319-335, AV dinar, 7.51 g. (20 mm). Obverse: ‘king and queen’ type; King Chandragupta and Kumaradevi,with halo, king holding a standard in left hand and offering an object to Kumaradevi with his right hand, Brahmi legend around and Samudra below left arm. With Brahmi legend to right of king and left of queen. Reverse: Lakshmi enthroned facing on recumbent lion, holding diadem and cornucopia, Brahmi legend at right, tamgha left, dotted border around.
VF-EF, decent appearance, some lustre shows through, very good surfaces.
