Kushanas, Huvishka, c. 151-192, AV dinar, 7.95 g. (20 mm). Obverse: Crowned half-length bust left, halo around head, flames at shoulders, holding scepter, with Bactrian legend. Reverse: lunar deity Mao standing left, crescents on shoulders, holding diadem and long scepter. Bactrian legend MAO on right, tamgha to left. VF details, some edge filing between 3 and 5 o’clock on the reverse, some light cleaning.In this extremely rare type, with Göbl obverse type XII, the lunar deity is seen holding in left hand a long scepter, and not the hilt of his sword as on the common type.Ex Chand Collection 1.3.01
