Sasanian Kingdom, Peroz I, c. 459-484, AV dinar, 3.73 g. (21 mm), court at Ctesiphon mint. Obverse: Draped bust of Peroz I right, wearing earring and crown with two wings, frontal crescent, and korymbos, illegible inscription around. Reverse: fire altar with ribbon; altar flanked by attendants on either side, each wearing crowns with korymbos, star in upper left field, crescent in upper right field. An extremely rare type.
