Fragment de relief en grès, Inde centrale (Madhya Pradesh ou Rajasthan), XIe–XIIe s Fragment architectural en grès rose, probablement issu d’un décor de temple hindou médiéval.
La sculpture présente des éléments ornementaux caractéristiques de l’art religieux de l’Inde centrale à la période médiévale. H. 41 cm × L. 31 cm
État : surface érodée, cassures anciennes visibles. Ce type de fragment est typique des ensembles sculptés des temples de Khajuraho ou des sites du Rajasthan, tels que les temples de Baroli, datés des Xe–XIIe siècles. Il témoigne de la richesse iconographique et du raffinement stylistique de l’art religieux de l’Inde médiévale.
