Lot 30100 – Sicily 1859 (Mar) Registered cover from Siracusa to Messina with three 1859 2 Gr., from different plates

1859 (18.3) Registered folded letter sheet to Messina, franked with three 1859 2 Gr., from different plates, the middle example plate I position 99 in ultramarine, the left-hand stamp plate II position 75 and that on the right position 74, oval-framed SIRACUSA handstamped at right (Ocf – R1), arrival backstamp; some margins touched, not unduly detracting from a scarce mixed plate franking paying the 1 1/2 sheet domestic registered letter rate and additionally important with the added rare postmark.
